Social Host (House Party Law)...huh?
Back in 2006 the CT General Assembly changed existing statues related to underage drinking. These changes, known as the "house party" or "social host" law have new sanctions for both youth and adults for their role in underage drinking. Before this change it was legal for minors to possess alcohol on PRIVATE property. It was also legal for anyone in control of that property to allow the drinking to occur.
