Think About It

You can prevent misbehavior by giving your child positive alternatives when you need to say no. Example:, “You can’t have Michelle spend the night, because it’s a school night. You may ask her for Friday or Saturday night if you want.” She will be less likely to misbehave out of anger if she feels she has some control over the situation.
