Rock concerts, Pop Concerts, Rap Concerts.....
What does everyone else do with regards to concert going by your teens? It seems as if all the concerts are falling on school nights? What do other parents do? Do you allow your kids to go? Love to hear what others are doing as I am always the bad guy because I have historicaly said "no". Anyone else feel the same way?

I've learned from a former police office in Hartford that the Webster Theatre was recently considered the number two crime area in the City of Hartford. High School kids from other high schools outside of Hartford get arrested, and sometimes come back with injuries. Check it out carefully...

Wow - thanks for this info! I attended the first concert my daughter wanted to go to and I observed that it had pretty good security and supervision. So subsequent concerts I've allowed her to go and just make sure to drop her off and pick her up promptly so there isn't any "hanging" around before or after. So far no incidents. How current is your info?

This has not come up much in our house. I think mostly because the concerts are too far away and expensive. "Back when I was a teen" we'd pay a few dollars and take the train ourselves to Madison Sq Garden. Now it requires big bucks and a parent driving you somewhere far away. And of course the parent must stay for the show or come back late to pick you up. The summer all day events seem a lot more convenient for parents than a late school/work night.
